Brad was raised up in Cherokee County North Carolina. There was a strong presence of Bluegrass in his life growing up with his grandfather being 3rd generation banjo player and singer, with a lot of the family being musically inclined as well. Having been influenced by these surroundings, Brad took up guitar at the age of 11 and dove into the music, quickly growing a strong passion for Bluegrass. Years later, he added bass to his instrumental interest and highly enjoys playing both.
Brad started singing at a very young age, growing up in old-time Baptist churches with great harmony singing. Church singing along with his mother (a wonderful singer) also helped Brad in honing in harmony through his early years. It also created in him a strong passion for singing, as does the music.
Brad has played with various local bands over the last 15+ years and has made many lifelong friends along the way.
Brad gives special thanks to his wife, kids, and family for supporting him in something that he loves to do. He gives special thanks to God for everything good in his life.
